enrola updates, October 2026

Published 15 October 2026

If you’ve logged in to enrola today you’ll notice that things are a little different. We’ve made some big changes under the bonnet of the system which has allowed us to publish these new features. We hope you like them.

We’re introducing more features and fixes over the coming weeks. The next major feature planned is sign-in codes: enrola users will enter a code, sent to their email address, when they sign in.

A new look

enrola looks cleaner and calmer throughout. It has:

  • a new font and neutral colours
  • a light header
  • tables and record panels shown as cards
  • quieter forms

Signing in

  • One session per account. If you sign in on another browser or device, enrola signs you out of the earlier one and tells you why. You can also sign out of all your devices at once.
  • New users choose their own password. When an admin adds a user or resets a password, enrola no longer emails a password. It emails a link to choose one, and the link lasts 7 days. Admins don’t type a password when they add a user.
  • New sign-in pages. The sign-in, forgotten password and reset password pages have a new look.

Applying for opportunities

  • Forms in pages. Admins can add page breaks to an application form. Applicants then see one page at a time, with a step counter and Back and Next buttons.
  • New look for the application form. It now matches Applicant Profiles, and so do the public pages and the job board. Applicants can type a date or pick it from a calendar.
  • Thank-you page. After applying, applicants see a thank-you page with its own web address. You can use it to count completed applications in Google Tag Manager.
  • Applicant profiles are easier to share, and your organisation’s theme colour is easier to set.

Lists and search

  • Every list shows its filters more clearly, and Learner search now works.
  • Search boxes stand apart from the results.
  • New Settings → Search filters page. Admins choose which filters each list offers, and can make custom fields into filters. This covers Applications, Opportunities, Employers and Contacts.
  • Fixed: the Contacts list no longer crashes, and the Applications search bar lines up correctly.

Records

  • Fields on records sit on an even grid with consistent spacing. In Settings, you reorder fields by moving them up or down.
  • The company number field and its “Get employer data” button now sit together.
  • Work experience is easier to fill in.
  • An application’s Summary always shows the applicant’s details first.
  • Application notes appear as a timeline, with the date and time of each note.
  • Every admin page shows its full breadcrumb path, and the header stays on screen as you scroll.
  • Names in the organisation switcher are easier to read.
  • enrola asks you to confirm again before it moves an application to Learners.

Opportunities and job boards

  • Opportunity text fields offer only bulleted and numbered lists. Pasted text arrives as plain text. Italics, links and headings will be removed from existing opportunity text.
  • Skills on the job board show as a list.
  • When a job board post fails, enrola explains why in plain words. It no longer shows the job board’s raw reply.

Import and export

  • You choose which fields to import or export, and in what order.
  • The import mapping page is clearer and explains how to write dates. Dates need a four-digit year.

Emails

  • Emails have a new look, and the brand is written “enrola” everywhere.
  • Interview emails show the correct end time. Before, the end time was the same as the start time.
  • When an applicant postpones an interview, the email subject now says “postponed”. Before, it said “cancelled”.
  • Employer liability insurance request emails have the correct subject.
  • Feedback survey notifications go to the staff member who asked for the survey. Before, they went to the applicant.
  • You can use a new tag for the interview end time in email templates.

Removed

  • Paid opportunities, where applicants paid by Stripe before applying, and the “Connect with Stripe” setting. Subscription billing doesn’t change.
  • iPegs transfers.
